It seems those made in Mexico have less value, but there may be other characteristics about those I've seen sell that affect the cost rather than simply where they are made. U.S., Japan and Mexico are the only three places I've seen. Can someone shed some light on this? Thank you. Sep 2, 2007 #2 Pugz Guest Sep 19, 2004 Cardiff, United Kingdom
Fender Precision Player ︎ http://bit.ly/playerprec_mntplFender Standard Precision ︎ http://bit.ly/pbass_sbsmn For our first Bass Battle we are starting bigIf money is an object a good choice would be a Squier Classic Vibe 60's. IMO this level of Squier bass, for me at least, would be a better choice than a Fender Made in Mexico model. The Squier can be had for under $400 now while the MIM starts at $850. A G&L Jazz "tribute" is $550. Please watch: "Vintage Fender Jazz Bass From Japan"
The black plastic volume and tone controls sit on top of the chrome control plate and operate very smoothly, with a gradual increase and decrease when turned. The slim Jazz neck (as though it would be anything else!) has a highly playable, thin C-shaped profile and comes with a urethane finish which gives it a welcoming feel.Fender Japan is making allot of changing on the fender catalog, last year, or this year .I don t remember, they just change all the jazz bass model codes. But anyway my fender jazz dosents have the model code, usually inside the body, or the neck Some other people says there is big difference from European basswood and Japanese basswood, but I
About This Listing. Just in we have an original 80's Fender Jazz Bass Special in pearl white, made in Japan. This is the original bass that Duff McKagan of Guns N Roses was known for playing. This is NOT the reissued Duff McKagan signature. This bass features both p&j style pickups and all parts are original.Fender Vintera Series. The Vintera series on the other hand, is a direct throwback to the 50s, 60s and 70s. Each model is based on a particular decade, so for example, the Vintera 50s Strat has features; pickups, colours, neck profiles etc that would have been on an original Strat in the 1950s (‘Modified’ versions are also available but more on that later).
